In Intro to Coding, students explore the basics of programming — including events, variables, loops and more — through fun challenges and creative projects.
Students will collaborate, experiment, and troubleshoot together, discovering that mistakes are part of the fun.
Alongside coding, students also learn how to be smart and kind digital citizens, covering topics like online behaviour, being safe online, and balancing screen time.
Students will need to bring their own device (tablet or laptop), though screen time during class will be minimal. The majority of each session will be unplugged, with students set up to continue the supplementary online coding course at home between sessions.

(bring a friend to our final challenge week!)
STEM Challenge is a hands-on, team-based course where students tackle a new creative challenge each week using everyday materials. Working collaboratively, learners design, build, test, and improve their ideas while developing problem-solving skills, creativity, and ingenuity.
Challenges are open-ended and thoughtfully structured so students can engage at their own level, whether they are newer to STEM challenges or ready for more complex problem-solving.
This course is designed to stretch thinking, build confidence, and create meaningful social connections. Students have opportunities to work with new friends, be challenged alongside familiar peers, and learn that perseverance, collaboration, and creativity are just as important as getting the “right” answer.
Our age ranges are a guide — if your child falls just outside the stated range but you feel the class would be a good fit for them, please get in touch and we’d be happy to chat about whether it might be suitable.
