Mustard Seeds Learning Co. provides small-group and individualised learning support for children, grounded in care, relationship, and purpose. All learning is led by fully qualified, NZ trained, teachers with extensive classroom experience.
Our in-person courses are based in Kingseat, Auckland, offering a warm, local learning environment for families in the surrounding communities.
We are building a learning space where children are known, supported, and encouraged to grow. Each term includes a selection of learning opportunities, with future courses and classes developing in response to the needs and interests of families.
If you don’t see something suitable right now, you’re warmly invited to join our email list for future classes and age groups.
Our homeschool enrichment classes are designed to complement home education by offering learning experiences that are often best enjoyed together! These classes focus on exploration, creativity, discussion, and hands-on activities, giving learners the chance to collaborate with others, try new ideas, and enjoy learning in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Our after-school group tutoring offers targeted academic support in intentionally small groups of just 4–8 students (1:1 sessions subject to availability). These sessions provide a supportive and encouraging environment where learners are known, valued, and taught at their level. Tutoring is aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum and responsive to individual learning needs, helping students build understanding, confidence, and resilience.

Our online courses will be developed in response to community needs and interests. More than simply self-paced learning, they reflect the Mustard Seeds heart—providing thoughtful, individualised teacher feedback to support each learner as they progress, with new courses added as needs emerge.
Just as a tree needs deep roots to stand strong and weather life’s storms, so too do learners need strong foundations. At Mustard Seeds, we nurture deep roots of character, learning and confidence. We believe growth often comes through challenge, and that learning to develop new skills, strategies, and perseverance is an essential part of becoming confident, capable learners.
From deep roots come strong, growing branches. We encourage learners to stretch, explore, and discover new ideas, building knowledge and skills over time. Every child grows differently, and we value the unique gifts, interests, and learning journeys of each learner, supporting growth that is both purposeful and joyful.
In the parable of the mustard seed (Matthew 13:31–32), a small seed grows into a tree where the birds come and find shelter. At Mustard Seeds, we believe learning is not only for personal growth, but for the good of others. We aim to cultivate learners who use their gifts to serve, encourage, and contribute to their communities, creating spaces where others can flourish.
Like the mustard seed, we believe small beginnings can grow into something life-giving and lasting. Through deep roots, growing branches, and a thriving community, Mustard Seeds seeks to nurture learners who are grounded, growing, and ready to encourage others.
Age ranges vary depending on the class, but we generally welcome learners in years 1-8. All sessions are thoughtfully designed to suit each student’s stage and ability, helping them grow in both skill and confidence.
